Get back on it

Any advice? I've had to lay off for 3 weeks due to achilles problem caused by bad running shoes and over pronation. I have since had gait analysis and got correct shoes. My problem is that I had miraculously got to week 9 and am desperate to get back - I can feel a slight twinge on my ankle, should I wait til it's completely gone - which could take forever or go for it? I fear my fitness fading and old habits creeping back (I lost a lot of weight doing this) any advice would be welcome as going a bit bonkers not running!!!

You can always go back to the running store you got your shoes from, and ask them what you can do about the twinge in your ankle, see if they have any advice. That seems like a good option to me, since they already analyzed your gait, and know what they are talking about.
