Making the time to run

It's taking the time to exercise has been the problem - 48 years old,  six foot three,  95 kg- but fat around the middle.  Stressed and like most, a monthly paid gym membership unused ..... So a new iPhone 4 s last month and a search for a new app, to help with any exercise program, i found this app,  which for a few pounds ( usd) encouraged me to start a run.  Last time ran, to any standard I was in my 20s. I ran my second week today and feel great. Apart shin splints and a Little twist on my ankle, from running on a farmers field,  I am happy. I have a 14 year old son , who is fit as a fiddle,  he has been out with me a few times - I am looking forward to finishing the program and running,  with him,  without the aid a figurative oxygen cylinder .  And a big thank you for the app.

Regards
from a new runner in Evesham Worcestershire England !!! Ps good news - a neighbour has leant me her ageing dog, to take with me - finally I found something that runs slower than me - he is 13 years old....

Good for you! If you can make it through the first few weeks, I swear that it gets even better. I used this program to start running for the first time ever at 47 yrs. and completed it a few weeks ago. It's amazing that 11 weeks ago I was huffing through 1 minute runs-now I'm grumpy if I only have time for 30 min.
Best of luck as you continue.
