Week 1 run 1

Hi my name is Sandra I have just completed my first run at the gym on the treadmill. Does anyone else use the treadmill if do what is a good speed to walk/run although I donee walk speed 3 and run speed 5.3 felt ok for first 4 runs should I be going at a lower speed. I am new to this and really would appreciate some advise as I want to complete this

Hey Sandra,

I, too, run on treadmill right now, and I have found that 3.5mph is a good brisk walk for me, and a 5mph (12 min miles pace) is a good early run pace. I read somewhere on runner's world that if you're starting out on a treadmill, run as slowly as you can and still run. Speed can always come later...now we're trying to build up our muscles, tendons, and core!
