Just finished run 3 of week 9 and feeling very pleased. When I started this I was 61 years old, overweight and had no significant exercise for not far short of 10 years. Thanks, that'was helpful. Set out on week 8 run 1 this morning going very gently and intending to stop at the first hint of discomfort. However I got round the whole thing without any problem and no ill effects so far. The 12 day lay off looks like it has done the trick, fingers crossed. Thanks again.

I've been following the programme successfully up to week 7 then after 10 mins of run 2 that week I pulled a muscle (I think) in the back of my leg between calf and ankle.
