Re: Wk2R2 Complete, but quite sore calf?

Hi all,

Quick update, I ran wk4 run 1 tonight :D

I done a couple of extra wk3 runs just to help build my stamina after the injury and then went to wk4 tonight.

All seems good on the calf front! So I'm a happy guy right now!

Anyway, I got back out there this morning and ran wk3 run 1, was quite difficult but that was prob due to loosing that bit of stamina id gained, however I am c...

Re: Wk2R2 Complete, but quite sore calf?

Well im afraid it looks like bad news! Just tried to do wk2r3 and had to stop after the third run and walk home with a limp! :( I'm absolutley gutted, I felt great as well at the start, and then disaster! What is the recommended rest period for a strained calf? Or is it a case of just seeing how thi...

Re: Shinsplints and Knee Pain

Hi Malcolm, Im no expert as ive only just started out myself but i also get shin splints so i have been doing a bit of reading and it turns out that landing on your heels as opposed to the balls of your feet can be a major influence on shin splints, i tried this as i was heel landing and instantly t...

Re: Wk2R2 Complete, but quite sore calf?

The run is not till tomorrow so hopefully it will feel a bit better by then as well. Your right about the friendly environment, ive been reading th...
