Re: New here! Question about app
Hi Chris. I'm a Florida runner too. As much as I heat up when I'm running it can't get cold enough! As far as the knees and the windedness, are you running as slow as possible? I was 30 pounds overweight when I started and had been very sedentary for a very long time. In short, I was terribly out of...

The mental thing
So this week I had done two 30 minute runs. I wasn't looking forward to a 3rd it just seemed boring, I need a new goal or activity to motivate myself. So what do I do? 35 minutes? Intervals? I wanted to work on speed so I could do a 5k in 30 minutes. I had earlier plotted my eventual 5k route. The w...

Re: Best time of day to run?
I try to run in the morning, it's usually cooler and gives me an energy boost for the rest of the day. I try not to run too close to bedtime for fear I'll have trouble falling asleep. Also, usually in the evening my belly is full from dinner, like to run either before breakfast or an hour after a li...

Re: Week 7 sore knee - tips?
Having had knee problems myself, my first question would be, how fast are you running? This could be a sign that you need to slow down. Second how old are your shoes? It could be time for a new pair, perhaps a pair that better matches your biomechanics. Also are you running on concrete? Concrete can...

Re: Roll of honour
Name: Tim Area: Florida (Go Bucs!) I weaned myself off the program around week 8. I found in was able to run 30 minutes with no problems, and by now Claire is only counting off every 5 minutes anyhow. I'm only running about 2.2 miles in half an hour, but I think. I can improve that as my tendons and...

Early graduation (2nd try)
There was a forum glitch and this post got deleted so here goes again. My W7R3 went very well. I cut a minute off my pace (down to 13:10 if your curious). From here on out I decided I can run 30 minutes and graduate to a dedicated running program to time and pace my runs. I'm going to miss Claire th...

Re: w6r3 - ran for 30 minutes!!!
Well, instead of trying to go for 30 minutes I decided to work on my pace. So I didn't run for 30 minutes but I knocked a minute off my pace! (down to 13:10). And it felt great!

Re: A graduate checking in.....
Thanks for checking in Laura and congratulations on keeping it up! That is what I hope to do, I have a lot of weight to lose. Can you tell us what app you use to log your runs? (I use RunKeeper but it has been glitchy as of late in recording my pace, not sure if it is the app or poor GPS reception, ...
