Re: Just started 2nd Week

Hello all Week 7 done. However really week 9 done. I got to 25 mins but just kept going to 30 mins. I now feel great after each run, well!! after I get my breath back. It's amazing, when I started the program I just couldn't imagine running for 5 mins never mind 30. To all out there keep trying and ...

Re: Just started 2nd Week

Hello All

Managed not only Week 6 run 3 but I got to 25 minutes and then 26 and just kept going. I managed 30 minutes.

Just goes to show, my mind just wanted to keep on going, but my legs didn't want to keep going.

Cheers

Re: Just started 2nd Week

Hi Gawii

No it's the Newcastle BUPA great north run. As with yourself I'll get this 5k done and as soon as I can do sub 30 min it will be attempting c210k and hopefully get to sub 1hr. Then onto 1/2 marathon.

Good luck with your run though.

Cheers

Re: Just started 2nd Week

Thanks Nud for the reply, we're all in this together. Well, it's Friday morning and time to go to work and then back to Newcastle. I'm a bit sore in the legs this morning, but I'm already looking forward to trying to get that 25 min run done. If not tomorrow I'll keep at it until the run is done. Go...

Re: Just started 2nd Week

Couldn't manage 25 mins. Try again Saturday. I just wasn't in the right frame of mind. I'm away from home and missing wife and kids.

I managed 18 mins and that was it.

Cheers

Re: Week 3 run 1 question

Hiya Gawii Sounds like you've had a bit of a nightmare there. just remember that you are doubling the reps and that is going to be hard. My biggest problem is that the bodies willing but the mind sometimes is not. The nice thing about this program is the ability to repeat. It's great that you're at ...

Re: New guy- On my second run of week one...

Hiya Gawii Good to here that you're enjoying the running. I'm 40 and really my gym work was weights. I'm now on week 5 and I have to say from week 3 onwards I felt great after each run. Tired yes. But a great feeling of calm. It does get easier I'm now running 20 minutes no problem and starting week...

Re: W1R2 Failure

Hiya My sister in law had exactly the same problem. She just couldn't regulate her pace. So here's what we did. As I used to be a weights only gym goer I took her along to the gym and stook her on a treadmill. She walked at 3.5 mph and ran at 5.5 mph. Since she could then regulate her pace the runs ...
