Hi Bryan

I too am at week 2. I managed to complete the 2nd run of week 2 yesterday, though there have been times I thought I won't be able to do it .
My knees, hips and shins are really sore today . Will try to pay more attention to stretching before & after.

Reading your posts have been encouraging, thank-you. Hope I can keep at it.

regards

The after run feeling is great, isn't it? I usually felt tired but energised at the same time, and very relaxed, content, and "at one" (ommmm) :-)

Thanks for all the comments and hopefully they help with all of your runs.
I have just finished week 5 run 2. I got to the finish of the second 8 minute run and thought 'Let's just keep running.' I got to 18 minutes. The 20 minute run today now doesn't seem so daunting.

Please just don't forget the warm up and cool down.

Also if I can manage these runs so can you. Week 1 I was struggling to complete the runs but they do get easier as you body learns.

Good luck

Couldn't manage 25 mins. Try again Saturday. I just wasn't in the right frame of mind. I'm away from home and missing wife and kids.

I managed 18 mins and that was it.

Thanks Nud for the reply, we're all in this together.

Well, it's Friday morning and time to go to work and then back to Newcastle. I'm a bit sore in the legs this morning, but I'm already looking forward to trying to get that 25 min run done. If not tomorrow I'll keep at it until the run is done.

Good luck everybody. If you've just started On this plan it does get easier each week.

Cheers

Is it the one in Manchester that you're training for? Thats the one I'm training for too. I'm literally starting from being a bit of a lazy slob- so I am hoping that 'Get Running' and then 'B210K' will coach me to be good enough to run 10k.

Hi Gawii

No it's the Newcastle BUPA great north run. As with yourself I'll get this 5k done and as soon as I can do sub 30 min it will be attempting c210k and hopefully get to sub 1hr. Then onto 1/2 marathon.

Good luck with your run though.

Cheers
