W1R2 Failure
So I'm the first to admit that I am TERRIBLY unfit. W1R1 was murder, but I got through it. Went to do R2 a few days later, got up to block 5 and made some lovely pavement paint with my lunch from a few hours previous. Now feeling terribly dejected. I think I should maybe start a bit slacker, running slower or something. What do you guys think?
Re: W1R2 Failure
I think that sounds like a good idea. In the instructions they say stick with what is comfortable and manageable so that it can be enjoyable. Focus on the fact that you completed 5 of the runs, not what you didn't achieve! You got out there and did something. That puts you way ahead compared to doing nothing at all! Keep us posted on how you go next time.
Re: W1R2 Failure
Definitely, think about what you have done! That's fantastic, especially as you said, because it's bloody hard if you are particularly unfit at the start.
You don't need to move on to the second week. You can keep on running the first week if you want to, and just move on when you want to.
You are doing something amazing, well done, keep going, and let us know how it goes!

Hiya
My sister in law had exactly the same problem. She just couldn't regulate her pace. So here's what we did. As I used to be a weights only gym goer I took her along to the gym and stook her on a treadmill. She walked at 3.5 mph and ran at 5.5 mph.
Since she could then regulate her pace the runs were slower but that doesn't matter. What mattered was she could do the runs and as she has progressed so has her fitness.
Hope this has helped. Please don't give up you will feel better. Your body just has to adjust.
Cheers
