Sore thighs

Post by Ortolana »

I am on week 5 and my legs have suddenly become very sore when they had been fine, is this normal? I continued to run despite the aches - I will probably be sore tomorrow.

I have been stretching before and after each run

Well worth having a good look on Google's top few hits for "running sore thighs": they look useful. Perhaps it's a technique thing? It sounds like muscle strain anyway :-)

I totally know what you mean, my wife gets these too. I think it really depends on the weather - I see you wrote this back in February. I don't know where you are located, but if it's already cold in your area, that might be the problem. Also, make sure you drink a lot of water and eat properly before running. At least that's what the Doc told my wife. Hope this helps. :|
