Week 5 run 2

Post by Sladonians »

Ok so just done week 5 run 2.

I was somewhat apprehensive coming in to week 5 and never thought I'd manage more than 1 x 5 minute run in a session but was amazed by the end of run 1.

Have just done run 2 today and actually am really pleased with how it went. Both 8 minute runs done at a steady 9.5kph. Have to admit that I can feel it in my legs now but I don't mind that at all.

Had some crappy news today and have been diagnosed type2 diabetic. Am going to continue on the program though as I am loving it and after all they do recommend exercise

Am nervous about run 3 this week. I still can't believe that I could possibly run for 20 minutes non stop.

Will let you know how it goes

Well done on the run. I have do that one tomorrow. It seems quite a jump from a five minute run, but think I will manage it....but run 3!!! Is that right?? Run for twenty minutes. It actually seems impossible! Good luck though.

I know what you mean.

Funny thing is though that on the second 8 minute run I suddenly felt really loose and comfortable and seemed to find a 'groove' and actually felt I could have carried on after the 8 minutes.

Am scared but excited by the 20 minute run :0)
