Hi All,
I'd really like to get started on the C25K program and like the look of the Get Running app.. but was wondering if its metric?
Thanks
Louise
Is Get Running Metric?
Re: Is Get Running Metric?
Hi Louise,
Get Running isn't tied to any units apart from minutes, really.
For example, in Week 4, you do two repetitions of: run for three minutes, then walk for one and a half minutes, then run for five minutes, then walk for two and a half minutes. All the other sessions follow that kind of pattern, measured in minutes rather than in miles or kilometres.
The overall target is to get fit enough to run five kilometres, or about three miles, but each session is all about running for a set amount of time, rather than distance.
Hope that helps!
Matt
