New starter - volume issues on app

Hi all. Having previously mastered staminar and managed to do a few 10km runs before injuring myself, i decided to start from scratch using the app in the hopes that i would improve my speeds (was taking about 32mins for 5km).
I've just completed W1D3 this morning. Love having the app there to tell you when to do what - but am struggling to hear the instructions - especially with traffic going past.
I have my ipod playlist going which i can hear just fine, and have the settings on the app set to lower music - i hear the music lower but can't hear the voice very well :(
Any suggestions?

Thanks for getting in touch. Well done with your running – you've got a good distance and your speed is already pretty snappy!

I can't be sure, but usually when people find it hard to hear the audio instructions, their iPhone or iPod has got itself in to a bit of a pickle (I wish this was a technical term – unfortunately I don't know the underlying cause). However, there is a very simple solution, all you need to do is turn your device off and then on again.

To do this: press and hold down the power button for about five seconds until "Slide to power off" is shown at the top. Slide this over and then wait for the device to power down (a few more seconds). Once it is off, press and then release the power button and wait for the device to start up again. After this, begin your music as usual and start your run.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and please let me know if these instructions aren't clear or if this doesn't resolve the problem.
