Well done for getting off the couch, donning some running shoes and taking the first steps! It doesn't matter if you couldn't manage the 8 x 1min runs. The important thing is that you tried it! Take as long as you need over each step. Hopefully you'll soon find you are progressing. Well done! :D

Rn_squirt, well done. I'm only a little ahead of you and an overweight smoker. My advice would be to slow down. I didn't listen to music for the first week because it made me go faster than I was ready for. I've only started week three, but I've done enough to be sure that this app will work for anybody. I love the rush that comes once the knackered feeling ends (or sometimes during it).

I've just finished my run 15 mins ago and feel like I want to go back out and do more...... but that would be stupid. Sticking rigidly to the program.

In a very short time we will both be actually running 5k! I find that unbelievable, but I'm believing it more and more every time I go out.

Well done.
