Idea on improving speed, will it work?

Post by 1998boi »

I recently stopped at week 6 day 1 after running at an average of 5:00/km, then started from week 1 again at a pace of 3:45/km and it was quite ok. On w3 ATM. Should I repeat the process until my pace is around 3 mins then go all the way from there? I train my leg power 5-6 times per week to allow me to sprint better. Wat do u think?

Inwould just follow the program at the slowest speed you can still run at.
You can run but you'll just die tired

I'd focus on endurance / distance first. Keep going with the program is what I'd do for sure!!! :D

I'd also say to finish the program, then try to improve speed.

I've often wondered if, after finishing the program, going back and repeating it with the aim to increase my speed would actually work. But now that I'm done, I'm so thrilled to be able to run for 30-40 minutes at a time that I can't bring myself to go back and redo all nine weeks. If it works for you, let me know!
