Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Just downloaded app, very excited about getting started. Tired of just walking each day, feel I have hit major plateaus and need to start running, but never could get past first 10 mins.
Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Good morning (from California),
Today will be doing my 3rd run and I'm excited yet still a little scared. I have had to not do 2 of the run portions previously because I get so winded. I am most likely 6 stone over my ideal weight. I've always been on the larger side but now I would really like to shake it all off. So this has inspired me to do so. Any other mums or dads out there that could relate to the 'i'm too busy with small children' to pay attention to my health? I'm just really hoping that I will be able to complete this and beyond!

Hello everyone....I am a runner - I can officially call myself that as I have now finished Week 1! So far, so good. And loving it. My tip is to also download Running Trax Gold which I play behind the app. Brilliant. The songs I used to dance to, I now run to - how middle-age changes you. Good luck to you 2Ciaos - we are at the same stage, so we can journey together....

Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Started week 1 run 1 last night, amazed to discover I covered over 3k in just 30 mins.
I like the gentle encouragement of "10 seconds to go" " you're halfway through".
A little about me, 40 years old from the south of England, used to run ( completed the 1999 London Marathon) not looking to get back to this level, but to lose a few lbs (ok more than a few).
Looking through the levels, it looks do-able, bit concerned about the jump to 20 mins solid at week 5....but we'll give it a go!
Cheers
Dave

Hiya, just this second bought the App and planning to start on Saturday(those days fit better with my kids) I'm a Brit living in Colorado. I've lost 30lb with Weight Watchers but I'm still very much on the couch and need to get off it to increase both my fitness and help my weight loss. Have never really enjoyed any exercise but am hoping this might change it and eventually want to be running with my hubby!
That's it!

Hi!!!
I'm Laina from South Carolina. I've tried several times to start a running habit, but have failed miserably. I'm hoping that this program will help me ease into it. I've registered for a 5k in May as motivation to keep at it. Just completed week 1 this morning and I'm feeling pretty good about my running thus far. I see that there's a few others who have recently started as well. Good luck to you guys.

Hi! I'm just getting started in Ohio. I have done a couch to 5k program before, but wasn't so successful at staying with running. Having the intervals spoken to me is so much better than staring at my lap timer and waiting for it to be over! I think this ap will help me stick with it. I am doing this to lose weight, but also to start making inroads to the more active life style I want.

Hoping these forums will offer encouragement and motivation to keep going
I have created a spotify playlist that is doing a great job of keeping me running at the moment and making me actually enjoy the whole experience.

Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Downloaded the app today and should have an armband for my iPhone waiting in the mailbox tonight when I get home from work. For a girl who once stated that she would only run if a bear was chasing her, this will be a new and unusual experience. However, I've realized that I'm now at the age where I need to start actually paying attention to my health.
I'd like to be able to chase my tiny nephew around without wheezing to death once he gets mobile. I've always been able to walk long distances without pain or shortness of breath, but increasing my pace to a jog or going up hill winds me quickly. I'm hoping this program will increase my lung capacity and help me develop some cardiovascular health. (Better fitting waistbands wouldn't hurt either!)
