Absolutely brilliant to hear you're planning to run!
I need to make it very clear that no one at Get Running and Splendid Things is medically trained, so we certainly can't give you any medical advice! I'd urge you to talk to your physician before you start out with Get Running, and I really hope they'll give you the go ahead because it'll gently ease you in to exercise. Perhaps you can take the App along and show it to them so they'll understand the increments in exercise.
That's about it, sorry I can't be more useful. Maybe another reader can help more though?

Thanks for the encouragement, BTW did check with my Doc.....have been walking a little running at the Y, starting the "Ge Running" program tomorrow, a walk/run 5K on April 28th.....the planning a 5K running June 28th!
