'FLU
'FLU
I was due to run wk6r3 yesterday but my sore throat turned into bad cold with ear infection and awful cough I wanted some advice about starting back when I feel well enough , should I continue with running the 25 mins or repeat some previous runs , I'm so annoyed this has happened .
Re: 'FLU
Repeat a previous run, just to see where you're at physically. You may be able to jump right back in to where you left off. Personally, every chest cold I've had has set me back a bit, so don't be too discouraged if you find yourself struggling.
Feel better soon!

Re: 'FLU
I was due to run wk6R3 bout 12 days ago but due to flu I had to put it on hold , I started back with repeating the previous run 3 days ago and found that very tough so this morning I jumped out of bed donned my running gear ate a banana and headed out for my 1st 25 muns run with the thought in my head that I will run for as long as I seriously could , The lady said she will tell me when i'v ran 5 mins ha marvellous I thought its easy for her she's not running well after the 5 mins was up I was doing great so I said to myself i'l do another 5 mins ,then I'd ran another 5 mins after that and the lady said you have only 10 mins left to run , well I though that's as long as my next 3 songs take so I kept goin listening to my music until she said you have only 60 seconds to run , I could hardly believe I ran my 1st 25 minutes and was so delighted with myself I'm still on a high 8 hrs later , so everyone that has the 25 mins coming up just believe in yourselves and it's amazing what your mind can do and think its only 5 or 6 of your favourite songs Good Luck Everyone
Re: 'FLU
Well done! Taking it five minutes at a time is a great way to get through a run, and it's the only thing that gets me through my 45 minutes sometimes. Otherwise, it's just too discouraging!
