Well, I'm in my second week of trying to run and I'm starting Week 1 again. I've NEVER been a runner, I'm almost 50 years old and 50 lbs overweight (isn't there a 50/50 app for that?!). When do you think I'll reasonably graduate to Week 2?
Here's what I've learned so far, 1. Running with a friend is not fun. They are too fast and I can't keep up even when they are trying to slow down for me. 2. Humidity is not my friend. I can't catch my breath. 3. My chubby miniature schnauzer isn't as slow as I thought she was
How many weeks can I expect to do Week 1 again and again? Remember, I've NEVER been a runner.
It may take three or four repeats of week 1 before you feel prepared enough to move to week 2, and that is okay! Everyone progresses at their own rate. Congrats for starting the program at all, that takes motivation.
“Suddenly, I was part of something. I was part of the running community. The more open I was about my running, the more open others were about theirs. I found out that runners love to talk about running.”
