Is anyone else basically an exercise virgin?
Is anyone else basically an exercise virgin?
Hi everyone, I've introduced myself in the intro thread but I thought I say hello here as well. I've just completed run 1 of week 1 and it was a lot harder than I expected, but I'm determined to stick with it. The trouble is I am spectacularly unfit, I never ever exercise, it's actually pretty embarrassing. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Yup! A bet most people on this programme are. I'm 44, not stuck to any exercise programme since school so a long time ago! Also was a smoker(now quit as need all the puff I can get!) and I've just completed W5R3 20 mins with no stopping. I too have found it a struggle, every single run hasn't been easy but you'll amaze yourself! Stick to it and good luck!

Im new to exercising too. Im 43 and also an ex smoker. Im not sure about week 4, but Im still alive through week 1-3 and i repeated wk 1 and 3. If you dont hear from me come monday, check the obits cause wk 4 may kill me! Lol. Believe in yourself, this program was designed for newbies like us. We are all rootin for ya, be sure to follow the instructions on the rest times, very important.

I am a 38 year old ex smoker who has always hated gym culture and exercise and struggled like hell for the first 5 weeks, but hang on in there because it really does work.
If you really want to succeed and make this work, follow the plan and I promise you that you will amaze yourself.
If a fat out of shape guy like me can do this, anyone can

Dani I am a exercise virgin and it is embarrassing. I haven't started yet I hope to start tonight.

Re: Is anyone else basically an exercise virgin?
Thank for all the motivational words guys, I've just finished week three run two and I feel great, exhausted but great! I even got up at 6am to do it because I knew I wouldn't have time after work! I honestly feel like I'm changing my life and all from an app that cost next to nothing!
My advice to all my fellow exercise virgins is to just get cracking!
