Starting again

Post by Sandra52a »

Hi all
I am starting again as I fell of the bandwagon. After 3 weeks in jan 12.
Going on the treadmill what speed should I aim for and would this program assist with weight loss I need to about 25lbs

No one can tell you what the right pace is for you. Some people naturally fall into a faster running speed than others. Just find what works for you and go from there.

As for weight loss, it will definitely help burn fat, but I have gained as much fat as I've lost so have not actually lost weight. The difference is noticeable, though! If you are watching what you eat, this will also help.

Wishing you the best Sandra. Are you starting with week 1 or where you left off? If when your done with the running part and you cant breath and about to die, then go slower. I dont run fast, I would say I shuffle  but it's working for me, I am just 5'2", my legs are short, so I can not run as fast as someone with long legs, but everyone is different and needs to find their own pace, no certain mold to fit in or speed. This can work for you and you can do this. I will be watching your post and cheering you on. Congrats for jumping back on the wagon!!!!!!!

Hi Sandra. I'm only just starting week 3 and I tend not to finish things like this! I make a habit of posting replies just after my run. It keeps me accountable. I am short like Linda, only 5'1 and tend to go slowly also. I run outside on dirt roads. I have my music, my mind wanders and the time flies. I'll keep watching for your posts! Week 3 starts for me in 2 days!
