So pleased with myself as I completed the first big one w5 r3 20 mins long. The run went really well the first 10 mins was great the next 5 not bad, but the last min was tough. The best thing about the run was I ran 2.3 miles in the 20 mins. Very happy indeed.

Hi Toadie good luck with Thursday you'll be fine and so proud of yourself once it's over. Just put any doubts to one side and think positive and you'll do it!

Hi Saintmiko69 - I enjoyed reading your posts just now. I find it amazing looking back to see how far I have come. Well done on the 20 mins! This is my next run on Friday and I am a little concerned...... However, if you had asked me on Week 1 if I could have imagined myself, in a months time, doing the 8 min runs I did this morning I would have laughed! :D I see Friday as my first big challenge but I am encouraged by what you have said. To be honest, I have never been one for forums before but this running forum has really helped keep me motivated and helped me not to lose heart when it has felt tough.

Let us know how you get on! By the way, how is the weight target going??

Hi Dixie and thanks for your comments! I've just finished w 6 r2 and still going strong and looking forward to r3 25 mins. I find it hard to believe that a few weeks ago I was huffing and puffing from running a few mins and I'm now running for longer and defo feeling stronger as a result. You'll be fine with the 20 mins and even if it gets hard keep going and keep positive. As for my weight loss I have another 3lbs to lose to hit my target and as I still have 3 weeks to go before my 43rd birthday I think I'll do it easily.

Thats it week 6 finished! R3 25 mins went well although I made it harder for myself by running way to fast for the first 15 mins. Need to work on my pace or I'm at risk of running out of steam towards the end of the runs. Still covered a lot of ground running just short of 3 miles. Feel like a runner once again now and I haven't been able to say that for a long time.

Well done! You're done with the intervals now - that must feel so good. Thanks for the luck - I did feel so proud of myself to complete w5r3!

Quick update completed w7 r3 this evening and feeling really pleased. W7 has gone really well and the runs got easier as the week went on. It's not all been plan sailing though all the fallen leaves on the ground are really slippery when wet and I've nearly come a cropper a few times because of them.
