Should I push thru to next run or re-run??

Post by Newcarsmelly »

Hello all- I'm a complete newbie to running. I'm to do W6R3 today.
I have re-run a few of the past runs as i felt I struggled too much to complete it. But was able to then complete w fairly limited issues. My question is starting from W5R3, I haven't really been able to complete a run without pausing. Sometimes 15-20 seconds up to 45 seconds. Do you think it's best to go back and complete W6R2 until I can do it w/out stopping? Or is it fine to continue to push ahead? I feel going into W6R3 for 25 minute run that I just won't be able to complete w/out pauses. (Same as the 20 min W5R3).
Just wondering others experiences and some words of wisdom! Thank u!

It seems like you started really struggling at the end of week 5. Go back and repeat that week and then give week 6 another go. There's no use in forging ahead if you're really struggling, because that's only going to get you discouraged.
