Just Started, but question

Post by CMS1986 »

Just go the app today and I'm excited to start, but I was curious, is there a way to turn off the voice prompts? I know everyone loves the voice, but since I don't listen to my music via my phone I don't want the thing constantly talking while I'm at the gym.

I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

Thanks!

There is an option to turn off the non-essential coaching/time left prompts, but no way to turn off ALL prompts. That would defeat the purpose, unless you have your device in front of you on a treadmill. In that case, you could simply turn the sound off on your device.

Yeah, it would be for treadmill use.

I looked at the settings and I dont see any option to turn off any part of it. My phone is on vibrate and I can still hear the prompts.

In the settings menu, under "Run and Walk Cues" there's an option for "Play All" and "Just Activity Changes." But you may have already selected that, and it sounds like you want dead silence anyway, so that wouldn't really help. If you're still getting voice prompts with your phone on vibrate, try turning the audio all the way down. Usually you can do that by using the volume buttons on the side of your phone, you don't even have to go into your phone's settings to mess with that.
