Who else out there, like me, has to deal with asthma that is athletically induced? Its been with me my whole life and has always hindered me athletically. Well, tonight I tried a new inhaler-based medication before my run and it was truly a miracle drug for me. It was the best I've ever felt while engaging in cardio in my entire life. I was smiling the whole run!
Anyhow, asthma-athletes I salute you and I feel your pain!

I have asthma as well. Even though I was a distance swimmer, I've always struggled with asthma, especially when running. However, with taking my inhaler before hand and the Get Running app (I'm now on Week 6), I can't believe how far I've come and how I am finally, after 21 years of asthma holding me back, able to run! I've learned that there truly is no excuse and I have to say that for once in my life, I am truly proud of myself and it's all because I was able to overcome what was perhaps my greatest obstacle in my efforts to get back in shape!!
Stay strong fellow asthmatics!!

I take Seretide, which has changed my life! Sadly it's my legs that let me down now, not my chest.
My asthma is much better since I've started running and my resting heart rate is going down. Yippee - I must be getting fit!
