Time Breakdown

Post by Traeonna »

I just started today although I am using this as a walk/brisk walk instead of brisk walk/run program due to heath issues that does not allow me to run at the moment.

I see for today You run 1 minute 8 times and walk 1.5 minutes 8 times. This totals 8 minutes of running and 12 minutes of walking, which would be 20 minutes total. However, I checked the time when I left and it seems to have worked out around 40 minutes I was out walking. How many minutes are the warm up and cool downs? It would be nice to know these things since I have to enter in my total minutes into another program I use for tracking my food, exercise, and weight.

Thanks!

The warm-up is always 5 minutes and the cool-down walk is always another 5 minutes. For wk 1, run 1 you have 8 runs at 1 minute each with 7 walks in between the runs of 1.5 min each. So total time for wk 1, run 1 is 28.5 minutes.

Good luck!!

You can check the total exercise and running minutes by having a look at the status update text. Go to the "Talk" menu (it's the button at the bottom left), and then press on "Compose Update Now". You'll be show the status update of your most recent run, and it'll have the times in it, including the five minute warm up and cool down (they are always 5 minutes through the whole of the program).

:-) I realise this isn't an ideal way to find this out! There have been some requests to show this information clearly, as well as a guide the the number of calories burned, and I'll look at adding something similar to an update.

Happy running!
