Week 1 done but Shin Splints!

Post by zombie777 »

Hello!!!

I'm new to forums in general and am no quite sure how they work but I just wanted some tips for shin splints. I have good running trainers, Nike Lunar Swifts that we're like £80 and are very comfy. I think it was due to my lack of stretching. They began after run 2 and so I had to leave longer than I wished between 2 and 3. I did 3 today, plenty of stretching and warmin up and so far I am pain free. I have run before, no great distances, 5-6k, always on treadmill.

If anybody has any tips, any stretches I can do to prevent them happening I would be very greatfull.

I look forward to week 2!!!

I had terrible shin splints, and these stretches helped enormously:
