Week4Run1

Post by Takethemotorway »

I really have to say how encouraging reading these posts can be. I've been stuck on week 3 for a few weeks now. Managing to complete that OK (at a steady and quite slow jogging pace) but feeling daunted by having to run a full 5 minutes on week 4 so kept putting the clock back! Anyway this morning I finally did the first run of week 4. I won't say it was easy but I did manage to keep going and even had to put a loop into my route to account for the extra distance. When I worked it out when I got home I realised that I had nearly covered 4K. This includes the walks plus a little bit of extra walking at the end. Now that I've achieved this once I know that I can do it again and I also know that I WILL improve over time. Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences. It definitely helps to hear over the struggles and the successes of other runners!
