Hectic Schedule and Running

Post by krisy1989 »

I just finished week one in preparation for the Tinkerbell Half at Disneyland in January (I know a half is more than a 5k but I would love to be able to run at least 3 miles as a start!) but the problem is sticking to a schedule with my work where I am expected to be able to work 24/7 (except for my days off) and there has been a lot of crisis work lately which has prevented me from starting to be able to run. How do you deal with a very busy work schedule and running?

I'm a full time nursing student, and a mom, and training for a half marathon. I really, honestly, don't know how I'm going to fit these mid-week 4 mile runs in now that the training is really ramping up. Two is managable, three is only okay during certain days of the week, but four? I have no advice for you. I'm sorry. Just know that you're not the only one!
