Good running tunes

Post by Rozeepozee »

Hi, Im pretty new here. I'm into week 3 and thoroughly enjoying running & listening to music, which I find really helps my rhythm and motivation.

I've compiled a playlist but would like a bit more variety. What tunes really help get you in the zone?

My current faves are UNKLE An eye for an eye, Fun Boy Three Our lips are sealed and Edwin Starr's War.

Check out Podrunner in ITunes. It is a free podcast to download.

I like fast-paced stuff, and I'm a big fan of late 70s punk, so I built a station in Pandora Radio with the Ramones as the flagship band. This way, the playlist is different every time I run, but it's almost sure to be songs I like. If you haven't looked at Pandora Radio, I highly recommend it. It's free, by the way.

What great suggestions. Thanks. I'll do both.

I'm into bands more than dance music and I thoroughly recommend Indie Soup Runner podcasts - they are free and have a great mix of old familiars and new bands.

Hope this helps,

I have been really enjoying the new R.E.M - but then I am 55! They are as good as they ever were.
