Running surfaces
I meant to put in my last message. Im a total beginner to running. Does it matter what ground you start running on? I live on a farm so today i have ran round the field- would that be harder to run on than the road- and does anyone know which is best to start with?
Re: Running surfaces
Softer surfaces are a little harder to run on than a road (they return less energy to your feet), but are probably better for your joints as they're likely to be less impacting. Be cautious on uneven ground though as it is easy to sprain your foot or ankle by landing in a small hollow!
Happy running,
