Wk 4 run 1- sore ankles
Hi, just started wk4 this am. I am 5'4, 11stone & have never run before! But i'm doing it & very proud to get this far. Suffering today from painful ankles- hopefully this will settle b4 next run on thurs, but as have no previous experience just wondering do I push on if there's no improvement? Any advice welcome ta.

Well done, you're doing great there! Look up R.I.C.E. treatment on your favourite search engine and try that on your ankles. Try not to run if you are actually in pain. A bit of mild discomfort is probably okay, but listen to your body – ignoring it can lead to injury, and that'll set you back, which you don't want!

Thanks Benjohn for the advise. Despite this minor set back I am really enjoying the programme. It's hard going but it's been a long time since I have felt such a sense of achievement that comes at the end of each run...
