Week 3 Run 1

I just finished week 3, run 1. I was dreading it and put it off for most of the day. I was surprised. While the jump from 1 1/2 mins to 3 mins seemed big and I struggled a bit, my recovery time afterwards was much much better.
I had been worried that the hill I live on would finish me (100m climb over the distance) but by slowing right down I managed it and will be able to push a tiny bit harder next time. The encouragement in my ear was great for this run too.
I'm so impressed with this app and feeling really motivated today. I am already beginning to wonder why there is not a 5-10k version though. I have faith that I'm going to get to the 5k mark, but I am not going to be happy stopping there.
I have never run before. I'm 38, 6'2 and weigh 105kg. Oh, and I smoke. I have also had very little excercise for the last 20 years. So if I can be confident of doing this programme then anybody can be.
