One Run to go

Post by Carlos_wsop »

After 9 weeks of running I'm now down to my last run on Wednesday when I will finish the programme , I was going to do the bridge to 10k app next but I've decided just to do my own thing instead , I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the encouragement and advice given to me especially the early weeks it was most helpful , good luck to everyone either just starting out or already running through it , just don't give up its most rewarding and well worth all the hard work cos at times it does get tough .

Best wishes to all

All done , after 9 weeks I've finally got there . When I think back to week 1 where I was all over the place with my breathing and aching like mad , then week 3 where I had real problems with my knees and had to take a week off but since then it's been plain sailing until the end . Must say my final run was tough today quite hilly and I prob went off to quick and i nearly gave in at 2 mile but I got there in the end , I'm off to do my 1st 5k race on Saturday I'll hopefully do it in around 27mins , after that im just gonna build up for a 10k distance then onto a half marathon next year which was my main aim for starting this , good luck to all and I'll keep popping on now and then to see how your all getting on ,

Regards
Carl
