Halfway through the programme

Post by Vinsampow »

Hi all I am now on Week 4 run 2 and I am definitely feeling the pain not excruciating pain (thank goodness). My knee (left side) is feeling a bit weak - although I have had trouble with this from my teenage years ( seems such a long-time ago ;-)) with dislocating problems. I think I need some strength training such as weights as I seem to run better after a session. Also my chest is burning I am putting this down to being unfit and maybe will ease up as I get fitter. Although some pain is there it doesn't stop me from running especially using this app as it's so addictive!!

I have also lost half a pound so as I get lighter I will be able to do more for longer! Thanks to everyones posts I always read for encouragement and identification keep it up as will I. Hope to see you all at the finish line.

Hi there. I've just done w4r2 too, I hadn't realised it was half way until I saw your post. That thought makes me feel very happy!!! What an achievement! As to the aches and pains, I too have been noticing that my ankles and calves are weak, I'm having to go really quite slowly on the 5 minute run. I figure though that by continuing this practice everything will strengthen up. Let's hope so. Although I may do a few more of the week 4 runs before moving on. Anyway well done for getting this far!

Thanks for the post Madeline and well done to you too! Yes the five minute run I slow up considerably as so I can complete the run! I love when the talking coach says youve ran twice the amount you did last week, and I have to think about it and say to myself Oh yeah! I know we can get to the finish and have more strength by the end.

I dont know about you but I can't wait till I do the next session and if I am unable to run through lifes obstacles I feel a little down, so it's something I look forward to. I think I am getting the running bug! Anyway Madeline keep it up and keep me posted of your journey. Take Care Vinnette.
