Week 7

Hey guys,

I just signed up today, I am on week 7 of this app. I totally love it.
Ive signed up for an 8k run in May this year, so have to increase my stamina!

I would just like to say to the people at the start, that it does get easier.
I used to be puffed at a 3min run and now i can do 25 mins! Im not the fastest runner , infact other runners speed past me all the time, but I just go at my own pace. Its all you can do!

I'm curious about working out on rest days too, just now I do an excercise video for an hour which has some cardio in it, but im wondering if something like swimming might be better. Oh and I also take a day off from any kind of excercise at the weekend. Your body needs time to recover.
I tried a cross country run yesterday and it was soooo much harder than a flat run..so be warned lol

If I were to do any exercise on my rest days, it would probably be yoga. Very good for stretching and building core strength. But swimming would be nice, too! In fact, during the summer, after my runs I very frequently changed into my bathing suit and took my son to the beach. And we will continue that tradition once beach weather returns, because it was great fun for everyone.

Yeh I think swimming will be good as its low impact.
Was having slight pain in my shin but it's a lot
Better now I have decent run shoes.
