Help needed please (GUTTED)
I'm very much a rookie runner and this is my first topic, so help is very welcomed please. I'm on week seven run 2 and things were getting better! I can now run 25 mins unbroken how great. However, I slipped yesterday and landed really heavily on my left thigh and arm infact I'm in real pain
no way can I run, but I'm now panicking. What's this going to do to my fitness level I've now gained during this program, will it put me back? How long should I rest my leg for and how do I start back? Oh I'm so gutted... Can anyone help please?

When do you expect to be able to run again? If it's a week or so, you probably won't have too much trouble getting back to where you were. I would advise you to go back and repeat week six and see how you do, and if that's a struggle, go back to week 5. You'll do fine, and your muscles will remember what to do. You will gain ability much faster than you did on the first go-round.
In June, I fell while running and sprained my ankle. I wasn't allowed to run or do any strenuous activity for a month, and I thought for sure that it would be a huge struggle to get back to where I'd been. But like I said, your muscles remember. I found it to be harder psychologically, to lose what little ability I'd gained and have to fight to get it back, than it was to actually physically get out and make it happen.
Be patient with yourself, don't push too hard, and you'll be back to running 25 minutes again before you know it.

Thanks very much for your reply, it's reassuring to read. Unsure when I'll be out again as still in pain. I'm not going to rush into it as may make things worse? I'm missing the running though. Thanks once again.

I am sorry that you suffered an injury! Set backs are always difficult, but you are doing the right thing by not trying to run through it. If your pain persists much longer, you should get checked out. General soreness for about a week is common, but if you are in real pain or it is going past that or you have swelling, it's best to have it looked at. Once you are back on your feet, don't push too hard. You will catch up relatively easily, as you have developed a good base after all this hard work. I hope you recover quickly, good luck!
