I've been waiting for the day that I could be a graduate. I did it by competing in a 5k!
I did my first 5K last night November and walked it. I finished in 56:17.
I did one in February and jogged/ran 25 minutes of it and finished at 53:09.
Yesterday I completed one (that had many atrocious hills) and finished in 49:06. I jogged for 40 minutes of that!
My pace is not great and I'm going to work on it some more in the next coming weeks...but wow! I feel so accomplished and empowered. Bravo to making this app. I never thought I could run and I'm doing it!
That is great steph and congratulations. I'm starting week 9 on monday and just can't wait. It's been and interesting journey but a fun one nonetheless. Keep it up.
“Suddenly, I was part of something. I was part of the running community. The more open I was about my running, the more open others were about theirs. I found out that runners love to talk about running.”
