Re: Is their an app that tells you your distance?

Try runkeeper. I find it brilliant. Sometimes I switch it on even if I'm out for a walk and it's cool to see how far you go, which route and the all important calories burned.

Re: Week 5 run 3

Well done for getting so far. The secret for w5d3 I think is to go slow - much slower than usual. You'll do it no problem then.

Best of luck.

Re: Tracking

I think it depends on whether your phone is multi tasking. I switch runkeeper on first then press the main button below the screen to see my other apps and switch on get running from there. I've runkeeper set up to play my music too. The voices don't affect each other too much most of the time eithe...

Re: First run is done!!!

Well done on surviving the first run! It does get easier and more enjoyable very quickly. I used to run on the treadmill but did this program outside and it's way more enjoyable as you can see your improvement with distance much better and I think it gives you more of a sense of achievement. I'd con...

Re: What to do when you are supposed to be on a rest day

I'm finished the program now so have upped my pace a bit and some days pushing it to 35 or 40 mins. Finding that I need my rest days and much as I would like to get out every day my legs feel like lead if I push too hard. I'm using the energy to be more active around the house. Hopefully that will l...

What to do when you are supposed to be on a rest day

Hi, I'm really enjoying this program and think I'm getting addicted to getting out for a run. I don't like the rest days when you are supposed to take a break. I understand why your legs needs a rest but what do you do when you want to get out anyway? I finished W7D1, though ran for 28 minutes, last...

Re: Treadmill v Outdoors

Hi, I used to always fing the treadmill easier but started this program outdoors. The weather was so bad the other day I did W6D3 on the treadmill and found it very tough - and long. I also sweated a lot more. Today I was back outside and a bit nervous of the 25 mins in W7D1. However it was so much ...

Re: Week 3 Done!

Thanks for both answers. Starting week 6 tomorrow. Have an iPhone 4 so looking forward to using runkeeper to track distance along with get running. Best app I've ever used by the way.

Re: Week 3 Done!

Hi Brian,

I didn't know you could use runkeeper at the same time as get running? How do you do it?

Can you also listen to your iPod music at the same time?

Thanks,

Belcra
