Re: I'm new to this - be gentle

Re: Running away from home!

If you'll be in a hotel, maybe you can run on the treadmill at your hotel? Most hotels nowadays have at least a mini workout room. Good luck!

Re: Starting again with a jog/run this time round

I'm about to start Week 9 on Sunday, then I have my very first 5k on 7/16 but after that I had planned on doing the program all over again but this time around I'd be doing it with my almost 5 yr old. She's really taken an interest in running especially since my hubby's a runner and I started this p...

Re: Encouragement

Good for you! You absolutely can do this and although I haven't completed the program yet, I just know that finishing it will bring about such an awesome feeling of accomplishment!! I have 2 little ones, too, and on 2 of my 3 weekly runs I wake up early to do them before the girls get up. I also am ...

I finished Week 6, Run 3 and I feel AWESOME!!!

So I did my 25 minute run today and when I finished I still felt like I could keep on going. This is awesome to me because with my Week 5, Run 3, I thought I was going to pass out as I was doing it. Then, somewhere in between those 2 runs I realized what my problem was... When I was in high school, ...

Re: the saga continues...

Thanks for the inspirational post! I just completed Week 4, Run 3 today, so I'm not truly a "runner" just yet. But I'm looking forward to Week 5!

Re: Running tracks

I did Week 4, Run 3 today and discovered that I really enjoyed running to Pandora's "Today's Hits Radio" station. All the songs were upbeat and helped me keep my pace. Good luck in your search for good running music!

Re: Is their an app that tells you your distance?

I found miCoach by doing a search on the app store for Adidas miCoach. I've used it once so far and am liking it.
