Week 5 run 3

Post by JessM »

Hi having always thought I'd NEVER enjoy running. This app has proved me
wrong! Each run I'm amazed at what I'm able too do. Just completed week 5 run 2- 2 x 8 mins, feel really chuffed and scared of the 20 min run looming on Wednesday!
Any tips please
Jess

Well done for getting so far. The secret for w5d3 I think is to go slow - much slower than usual. You'll do it no problem then.

Best of luck.

Thanks, am going fairly slowly as it is! Think I'll try and pick a flat route
As my regular one has a slight incline on the way home!

Yeah pick a flat route and make sure the first 5 minutes are really easy - it's minute 5-10 you'll want to stop BUT keep going.

And keep thinking about your posture, scanning your body for tension and focus on a steady rhythm (use a metronome to keep your cadence up).

You've got this far :)

I cant believe I did it! I feel SO amazing.
And just to think I struggled with one minute runs not that long ago.
What really helped was trusting that this app really works and taking it slowly.

Just looking at this as I have just completed week 5 run 1and it was ok. HOWEVER. I didn't realize it was a 20 minute run on run 3!!!!!! O.M.G. how on earth am I going to do that!!!! I know the advice is to take it slower but if I take my slow jog any slower i'll be walking!
